ACM20121 Certificate II in Animal Care (QLD High School)
The Certificate II in Animal Care course is a VET course offered to Year 11 and 12 students as a one-year course (Terms 1 - 3).
This course combines independent online study with onsite classroom learning and practical days at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

This Certificate II is for those who are interested in the animal care industry. It is specifically designed as an HSC program for students in Year 11 or 12 while undertaking their school studies.

This is an introductory level course for those who are interested in the animal care industry and/or pursuing a career as a keeper. Students will develop the knowledge and skills to perform the essential duties of a keeper in the animal care industry, through a combination of weekly theory lessons and activities held within Taronga Zoo Sydney.

This course is the pathway to zoo keeping. Students will further develop their knowledge in animal husbandry through a combination of regular theory lessons and practical experience at Taronga Zoo Sydney. Graduates can seek employment as a zoo keeper, or animal keeper in aquariums and wildlife parks.
