NSW Health has advised today that a person who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 attended Taronga Western Plains Zoo on Sunday 7 November while potentially infectious.

The health and safety of our guests and our staff at Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo is our top priority and we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare.

All high touch areas are being deep cleaned in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and the Zoo’s CovidSafe operating plan.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is an outdoor venue. In accordance with the Public Health order all staff are fully vaccinated. The Zoo is open to all guests under 16 years, and guests aged 16 years and over who are fully vaccinated or medically exempt. Masks are required to be worn in all indoor areas including cafes, shop and viewing shelters.

Any guests who are concerned about possible exposure to COVID-19 are advised to monitor for symptoms and get tested.
